Drama

This hurumanu we have drama. The first day that we did drama we had played games,  In the game statues, we had 2 people chosen to be the spectators and they had to walk around the classroom and see who moved, then if they caught you you had to sit down. You were allowed to move before you got out but you had to be fast before the spectators caught you. But you were still able to move when you got out.

The point of this game is to be the focus and still and not fidgeting and also to win. This game is fun to play with your class, family and friends.

We also got told to find another to teach other people so I have chosen pokana .

 Today we had to do a challenge with Mr.Scott and we had to make DLO of our choice, and since I couldnt think of anything I just used the first thing that went to my mind.

Laughter is the BEST Medicine.

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.Laughter burns calories. OK, so it’s no replacement for going to the gym, but one study found that laughing for 10 to 15 minutes a day can burn approximately 40 calories—which could be enough to lose three or four pounds over the course of a year.Laughter may even help you to live longer. A study in Norway found that people with a strong sense of humor outlived those who don’t laugh as much. The difference was particularly notable for those battling cancer.
The reason I like this video cos her  facial expression were amazing and just the way she had done everything in this video.

P.E Hurumanu

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been… 
  • (What game did we play?)        Floor Hockey, Bench Ball, football

Our activities was Floor Hockey,Football,Bench Ball For these activities I rated myself as a level 3
Because I had a ok attitude and I tried to make the team better than what they were


To achieve at level 3 we have to show that we can consistently use positive words always include
yourself in every activity


During the game of the cross-corut games I showed that I am working at level 3 by including myself in
the games and using positive words and actions and encouraging my team as best  I could .
These examples show that I have met the standard for level 3 

While playing the Cross-court games, something that I found challenging was communicating with
my team. The reason I found this challenging was because my team always cheated and wouldn't listen.


However, I managed to overcome this challenge by trying to tell them to stop cheating but they still kept
cheating so i didn’t overcome this challenge.


Next week I am aiming to work at level 4 To make sure that I am working on that level
I am going to work on being a leader and taking charge.

P.E Hurumanu

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been… 

(What)   First we did a warm up which they named 100 (pts) Challenge. Then in our first game we
played was named floor Hockey. Then we finished with 6 corner soccer.

Where)    This took place in the gym.

(Why)      To work on our Teamwork,Involvement  in a game and to Work with others.

Statement
Our first activity was Floor Hockey and For this activity I rated my self as a 4 because I helped people and
encouraged them and I told them what should do to when. Sadly we didn't win but everyone was happy
about the outcome (even though we lost)


Explanation
To achieve at level 4 we have to show that we can consistently Be a leader in making a contribution to
the team goal. To make sure that I include everyone in what' going on. To Always encourage people,
and to use my positive words and action lift my team's performance.


Example

During the second game of Floor Hockey I showed that I am working at level 4 by Being a leader and
stepping up my game and  trying my best to get a goal and I encouraged my team to give them more
confidence. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 4
