Climate Chaos

Today in science we are updating our water cycle experiment. So by using this table we are going to see if the experiment worked.

Findings:

The Water Cycle
Acid Water Cycle
Does it cycle?
yesyes
Amount of Water
11
Acidity
02

Key: Water and acidity amount: 0 = none
1 = small
2 = large

Water cycle

ast week we wrote down what we did in the water cycle so here is my work

Title: Water Cycle Experiment

Purpose: To learn how a water cycle works and to understand

Materials:
  • 2 A4 ziplock bags
  • Water
  • Blue food colouring
  • Vivid
  • Double-sided tape
  • Baking soda

Steps:
  1. Get 2 zip lock bags.
  2. And draw a drawing of preparation, condensation, and all the things that are in a water cycle.
  3. And then pour water into a zip lock bag.
  4. Then add blue food colouring (4 drops).
  5. Then get double-sided tape and put it on the front of the drawing.
  6. And stick it on a window for a few weeks.
Conclusion:.
Overall I think it is going to go well, I have not really looked at mine at all but I've looked at other peoples
work and it looks pretty good, some water has gone from some but not all.

  4. place a piece of black plastic on the bottom inside the pizza box
  5. cello tape a piece of cello tape over the cut square on the lid
  6.  wrap up tight some newspaper and make it into a square so it fits on the top of the black plastic on the bottom of the box
  7. get a straw to hold up the lid
  8. place your smores on a plate and put them into the pizza box oven to cook in the sun.

Wind

Hurumanu - Wind Power  💯

Measuring weather.

Definitions:

  1.  Anemometer:
  2. Beaufort wind scale

Anemometer

MATERIALS

  1.  4 Dishes
  2.  2 sticks
  3.  TAPE
  4. pin
  5. pencil

Groups size: 5

Roles:
  • Timekeeper
  • Counter
  • Recorder
  • Anemometer Manager
  • Wind Manager
  1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
  2. When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
  3. Repeat the above step four (4) times and record the number of spins on the chart.

FINDINGS

  • Record how many times it spins and record it in the table below.
  • You will need to time them and count the number of spins.

Place name on school grounds                                    Number of Spins in 15 seconds
1.Field
2.Old J block
3.Grass hill in quad6
4.Tennis Court gate2

CONCLUSION:

The field was the least windiest part of the school. It is because the field is not MY biggest Fan 😫. The old J block site and the grass hill quad More wind then the field when we were on it. The tennis court gate somehow got 2 we could've gotten 1 - 0 but the Anemometer was going one way then the other way. So pretty confusing for us. So the Old J block was the windiest part in the school.

Drama - Haiku Spring Poem.

Spring Poem

So for drama, We had to make a haiku poem in a group of two or three and it had to be about spring.
So I went into a group with Milan And Lily, We all had one job to do each. My job was to write down verbs of spring,Milan's also to write down the adjective word about spring and then Lily's job was to find noun word about spring.

So if you didn't know  a Haiku poem is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Spring

Beautiful, Bright, sky as wonderful as a winter wonderland

Animals, blossom like a flower awakening from a amazing autumn Sleep

A star shines bright like a fireball taking place

This was Milan's poem went like this:

Pretty, Bright, sky as  wonderful as a winter wonderland

Animals blossom like a flower

Sun shines bright like a single star in the night sky.
