this week Mrs jack's literacy class have been doing proverbs.I did 4 proverbs and here they are.
To hide one lie,A thousand lies are needed. - Whenever you lie, you have to project more lies to support the same - One thing leads to another, and before you know it one small lie has snowballed into a giant mash of lies - One lie leads to second, second to third and so on - A person then forgets where he started the lie and where it is going to end. He finds himself in a vicious circle of lie, from where there is no way out.
Better to be a free bird than a captive king -One interpretation of this proverb is that it is better to live simply and enjoy the freedom it brings, than being a mighty king with many responsibilities.
If you chase two hares, you will not catch either. -If you run after two hares, you will catch neither you cannot do two things successfully at the same time.
Eyes can see everything except themselves. -The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.
